Hybrid Event
This is a Hybrid event. You can participate either physically in New York or remotely by clicking at the "Video Stream" that will be available 10 min before the event starts.
Both attendance modes require registration.
IN-PERSON PARTICIPATION
To attend the person in New York you need to register.
This is a TWO-STEP process registration.
First, you need to fill in the pre-registration form that will be follow by a final email confirmation.
IN-PERSON PARTICIPATION CONFIRMATION WILL BE SENT WITHIN 2 DAYS AFTER YOUR PRE-REGISTRATION SUBMISSION.
To pre-register you need to fill in the pre-registration form AND create a SCHED account. Both activities are completed on the same registration process.
- Click on the “Register” button located on the HOME page
You will access the PRE-Registration FORM of the event
You can complete the first name and family name, but you cannot fill in the email field.
For that, you have to either “Sign up” and create a SCHED account, or “Log in” to access your existing SCHED account. Both options are available at the bottom of the form.
- By clicking “Sign up” you will retrieve the following page where you can create your SCHED account with Google, Apple, or an email.
Creating a SCHED account will allow you to complete your profile with your privacy settings, create a custom schedule, etc.- If you already have a SCHED account, click on Log in and log in with your SCHED account
After completing the “Log in” to SCHED or “Sign up” with SCHED, your email will automatically show on the registration form. Then click “Register” to finish registration.
YOU CAN NOW ACCESS THE AGENDA AND JOIN VIRTUALLY THE SESSION.
IN-PERSON PARTICIPATION CONFIRMATION WILL BE SENT WITHIN 2 DAYS AFTER YOUR PRE-REGISTRATION. Please do not make any travel arrangement until you have received your Final confirmation email.
ATTENDING THE EVENT IN PERSON
Please bring the final participation confirmation email with your ID to show at the registration desk at the Science Summit venue.
ATTENDING VIRTUALLY
Once you have registered and logged into an event then you will be able to select sessions and access the video stream button and recordings (please note that if you do not select a session, these options won't be available).
How to select a session:
To Select a Session (add a session to your schedule) click on the circular Check Box and you will see a tick symbol (✓) appear
To De-select a Session (remove a session from your schedule) click on the circular Check Box again and you will see the tick symbol (✓) disappear
If a Capacity has been set on the session then you will see labels to inform you of this (e.g. Session Full, Session Almost Full, Spaces Available).
If Waitlists have been enabled then you can join the waitlist and be automatically added to the session if a space becomes available.
To join the session, just click on the "Video Stream" button available 10 minutes before the event starts.

PRIVACY SETTINGS
After registration, you can modify the privacy settings of your attendee account.

If you choose your profile to be visible to others, then you can see others’ attendee profiles also and contact them through the chat.
